“Everybody knows who you are, but they’ve got to see it with their eyes.”
n Juan Soto, after homering in his first spring training AB.
So let the bidding begin.
Now that expansion is in the rearview mirror, it’s time to recap what happened and talk about next steps and important dates.
Before we get to expansion, there are a couple of pieces of news to share:
Spencer, Dan and Jared have renamed their team 2 ½ Old Men.
The Frasers, Jim and Caleb, have decided on the moniker Fenway 2.0.
Now, the expansion recap.
Everyone’s first-round protections were in the last newsletter, so there is no need to repeat them here.
The Frasers’ first-round expansion picks were:
Listed in order of Team selected from;
1 - MacKenzie Gore
2 - Matt Strahm
3 - Ranger Suarez
4 - Miles Mikolas
5 - Brian Reynolds
6 - Xander Boegarts
7 - Francisco Alvarez
8 - Raisel Iglesias
9 - Eugenio Suarez
10 - Jared Jones
A week later, we countered with our second set of
protected players:
Team 1: Victor Scott
Team 2: Clayton Kershaw
Team 3: Oneil Cruz
Team 4: Keke Hernandez
Team 5: Pete Crow-Armstrong
Team 6: Alec Bolm
Team 7: Max Meyer
Team 8: Tobias Myers
Team 9: Masyn Winn
Team 10: Orion Kerkering
Jim and Caleb then came back with 10 second-round picks, ensuring that at least 10 of their 20 picks will be back in the draft:
1 - Porter Hodge
2 - JT Realmuto
3 - Nick Castellanos
4 - Sal Frelick
5 - Nolan Arenado
6 - Freddie Freeman
7 - Wil Smith
8 - Jake McCarthy
9 - Dylan Cease
10 - Michael Harris II
I have made the adjustments to the On-Roto page and everyone’s roster is correct as of now.

Roster Freeze Day protection limits:
Teams 9, 5, 8 and 10 can protect seven players, everyone else can protect 10. If a farm player is kept ($5 fee), they do not count toward the protection limit.
